Dr. Jose P. Laurel’s term as president of the Second Philippine Republic was brief but very eventful. During his term, from October 14, 1943 to August 17, 1945, President Laurel delivered numerous speeches on various occasions, and on varied topics. This volume is a compilation of those speeches, starting from Laurel’s proclamation of independence and ending with his last speech in Manila, before he was forced to go to Baguio with the Japanese forces.
