Noah returns to the Philippines with his girlfriend Eileen after 15 years when his best friend Damian commits suicide. Damian's death is also marked by Becca's return- Noah and Damian's mutual friend, who has been a town outcast because of her mother's affinity for witchcraft. They were forced out of their town, never to be seen again until Damian's death. Having been raised in the US, Noah's modern ways keep him from believing in Pamahiin or superstitions.
